On December 25, 2016, at Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, the 2016 When Buddha Meets the Gods (Reunion of Religious Associations) event was held by the Association of Chinese Traditional Religions. 685 representatives of shrines, temples and churches from global multi-religions participated in the reunion. This set the world record granted by the World Record Association for being the global multi-religious reunion participated by the most number of shrines, temples and churches around the world.
