On August 12, 2017, in the opening ceremony of Silk Road Azure (Aksai) Hot Air Balloon Carnival, Kazakhstan yurt hot air balloon was ignited and lifted off. With the diameter of 21 meters height of 23 meters and the volume of 2800 cubic meters, this set the world record granted by the World Record Association for being the largest Kazakhstan yurt hot air balloon in the world.
